Join us for an early afternoon of live music with Alicia Maka!
Alicia is a Chicago-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends Country, Folk, and Americana styles. Guided by a deep love for storytelling and transparent lyricism, she transforms universal experiences into lyrical narratives that connect with listeners on a personal level. When performing, Alicia loves to sing her originals along with some covers in a variety of genres. Some of her many inspirations are artists like The Lumineers, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Mumford and Sons, and more!

Fun & Easy Page Layouts for Beginner Urban Sketchers
New to urban sketching and not sure how to fill the page? This beginner-friendly class is all about taking the pressure off and helping you get started. Instead of worrying about making one "perfect" drawing, you'll learn simple, creative ways to build a page using a variety of small sketches and playful layouts.
We'll gently "break the page" together—exploring how to divide your sketchbook into sections, combine quick sketches, add notes, and use color in a relaxed, approachable way. No drawing experience needed!
Supplies will be provided if you need them.

Selections from City News Anthology
We invite you to join us for a live poetry event: Selections from City News Anthology.
The first half of the program will showcase highlights from our upcoming poetry album, along with sets from our special guests, Wes Heine and Christian Harris. Select performances will include sound and music accompaniment by our sound director, John Garza.
The second half of the event will be an open mic, with 3–5 minute sets available for participants. Time permitting.
