Zero-Waste Café Challenge | $65/person • 6–20 participants • 1.5–2 hours
Bring your team behind the scenes of what “sustainability” actually looks like when espresso, oat milk, and compost bins collide. This hands-on challenge gamifies sustainability through sorting, composting, and creative reuse — complete with prizes for the most innovative (or hilarious) solutions.
Activity:
Teams compete in a series of fast-paced sustainability challenges — sorting real café waste (cleaned, we promise), designing a “closed-loop” beverage concept, and pitching their zero-waste idea Shark Tank–style.
Includes: compostable materials, sample waste station setup, compost partner info (Collective Resource Compost), sustainability leaderboard, and a prize for the “Greenest Team.” (Offsite add-on: $75 equipment travel fee)
Add-ons:
· Optional 10-minute talk: “How necessary & sufficient coffee keeps 70,000 lbs of waste out of landfill.”
· Sustainability trivia lightning round.
Outcome:
Environmental literacy, friendly competition, and a sudden urge to start a compost bin in your office kitchen.
